About Island Coffee Shop
Island Coffee Shop is a diner in Staten Island, New York. It is listed at 407 Manor Rd, Staten Island, NY 10314, which places it among the local businesses of Staten Island that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under breakfast restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
In Staten Island, the breakfast crowd peaks on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so a weekday visit or an early arrival avoids the line. Across New York, regional staples show up on the menu: biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles in the South, breakfast tacos and burritos in Texas and the Southwest, green chile in New Mexico, and Hawaiian plate breakfasts in the islands. Check the listing for hours, whether the restaurant takes reservations and its Google rating and reviews, and note that many diners are cash-friendly but nearly all take cards. Counter seating usually moves faster than a table for one or two.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 6 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (718) 720-5606. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 826 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded diners in Staten Island.
Staten Island is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Staten Island is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Absolutely love this cute little old school diner. Very warm atmosphere and the prices are very reasonable. Everything tastes good. Come here all the time when I don’t have any place in mind for breakfast or lunch.

Always a fantastic experience and great food. I’ve been coming here for years and this was my first time having their cheesesteak. Might be the best cheesesteak I’ve had on the island.

Very friendly restaurant with excellent food and service! George, the owner, is such a sweetheart—our son loves him! We always order the scrambled eggs with potatoes, peppers, onions, and white toast, plus a pancake for the kid. The coffee is great too! It’s a cozy neighborhood spot, so it does get busy on weekends, but the wait is never too long and always worth it. Highly recommend, and we’ll keep coming back!

It's a popular neighborhood diner that serves delicious food with excellent service and reasonable prices. I tried their chicken soup and rice with mushrooms and sausages, and they were flavorful and satisfying. The portion size was quite generous as well. I definitely plan on visiting the place again when I'm in the area.

This is a small, cozy, well run coffee shop that is often packed with locals who know the staff and menu long before they walk in the door. The menu is small and fairly basic, but everything is very fresh and well made. Great coffee, french fries and sandwiches! The turkey-bacon BLT on rye is a personal favorite, but they also have great corned beef & pastrami as well as the expected ‘egg-pertise’ to be a great place for breakfast! Expect a bit of a wait around breakfast time & lunch on weekends. After dozens of meals here we have never left disappointed!
